Who am I?After completing my training in general medicine, I undertook my dermatology training at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge and whilst there undertook a PhD in the investigation of the molecular biology of Human Papillomaviruses.My first consultant post was as a full-time dermatology consultant at The Royal Cornwall Hospital for 7 years. I relocated up to Bath in 2011 to take up a consultant post in the Dermatology Unit at The Royal United Hospitals Trust (RUHT) , Bath.I am currently the lead for Skin Cancer Service within the Dermatology Unit in Bath. I also the lead for training of GPs within the dermatology department and I am clinical supervisor for the other numerous dermatology trainees within our department at the RUHT.I live in Bath with my husband and dachsund. My grown up son is studying at University in London.Diseases, Medical Tests and TreatmentsI am happy to see any patient who is troubled by a rash (e.g. psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, contact allergies, urticaria/hives) or acne for accurate diagnosis and treatment. I have a particular specialist interest in the diagnosis and treatment of vulval skin conditions.I can perform assessment of causes of hair loss and initiate appropriate investigation and treatment.I can diagnose and treat malignant skin lesions. I can recommend other specialist treatment for larger skin cancers on the head and neck.I provide assessment and removal of benign skin lesions - skin tags, prominent moles, seborrhoeic keratoses (warts).Please note that I am not a cosmetic dermatologist and, unfortunately, the Bath clinic have a policy where we cannot see under 18s.
